The Audio Mixer Basics for Live Sound

The Audio Mixer Basics  is a hands-on introduction to running sound for live events, productions, or services. You’ll learn how to set up a simple sound system, use a mixer with confidence, and solve common sound issues that come up during a live performance.
During this workshop, you’ll:

Get to know the key parts of a basic sound system

Learn what each part of the audio signal chain does

Practice adjusting volume levels, tone (EQ), dynamics, and effects

Explore how to create a clear, balanced mix

Talk through common sound problems and how to fix them

The training blends short explanations with hands-on practice. Each exercise focuses on an element of mixing, followed by a quick group discussion to review what you learned and how it applies to real live sound situations.

Feel more confident using a mixer and be ready to help create great sound for your events.
